Elon Musk adds Tweet View Limit Feature (All you need to know)
Twitter CEO, Elon Musk in a recent tweet announced Twitter’s new feature “view Limit”.
In his tweet, he explained that this feature is to address the levels of data scraping and system manipulation. Also, a retweet by Elon from a parody account states that the reason he set a “View Limit” is that all Twitter users are addicts to Twitter and need to go outside.

The reason I set a “View Limit” is because we are all Twitter addicts and need to go outside.

Although it seems some users have already begun exceeding their limits, the controversy revolving around this feature seems to be more positive as most users agree with the fact of getting a reminder break from social media.

To address extreme levels of data scraping & system manipulation, we’ve applied the following temporary limits:
– Verified accounts are limited to reading 6000 posts/day
– Unverified accounts to 600 posts/day

Following his announced feature he also made another tweet that explains that the limits will be increased from their initial limits. He said “Rate limits increasing soon to 8000 for verified, 800 for unverified & 400 for new unverified”
